My name is Erica and in six months I will leave North Carolina to study abroad with AFS Intercultural Programs for the summer in China or Thailand. I don't know which one yet. I'll know when I know how much I can raise. China is $7,500 and Thailand is just $6,400. I am so excited about learning Mandarin, living with an Chinese or Thai family, and gaining an intimate window into a culture that many Americans know very little about. I'm also excited to share some American culture with my new family and friends in China or Thailand.
